The Farran Group Breaks Ground…

The Farran Group has broken ground on a new $19.5 million community in Missoula, Mont. The property is being developed on a former industrial site—a former lumber mill and distribution center.

Missoula, Mont.—The Farran Group LLC has broken ground on a new $19.5 million community in Missoula, Mont. The property is being developed on a former industrial site—a former lumber mill and distribution center.

The community will include seven buildings and 224 units, and will feature studios and one- and two-bedroom floor plans. The apartments will offer a full-size washer and dryer, dishwasher, refrigerator, disposal, stove, microwave, air conditioning, built-in pantries, balconies and dedicated storage units. Rents will range from $625 to $950 a month.

Amenities for the community will include a clubhouse with resident lounge, coffee bar, WiFi, fitness center, outdoor pool and spa with barbecue area, business center, conference room and media room; on-site management; and a security gate entry system on each building. Additionally, there will be an 8,000 square food community garden managed by Garden City Harvest, a local non-profit, urban farming company. There will also be direct access to the Riverfront Trail system.

“Our northern boundary is the Riverfront Trail which runs adjacent to the Clark Fork River,” Pat Corrick, principal of The Farran Group, tells MHN. “We named the project ‘CORSO,’ which is Italian for path or trail.”

Corrick expects this community to appeal to younger renters.

“We’re excited to be a part of redeveloping a key property in a vibrant Missoula neighborhood with a highly amenitized apartment community,” he says. “Our target demographic is 25- to 35-year-old young professionals who value access to downtown Missoula and the great recreational opportunities that abound in Western Montana. We’ve designed CORSO to fit their lifestyle.”

The community is expected to be completed by the summer of 2013.
